This was a good experience for us for the most part. The staff was very helpful and friendly, as were the other guests at the hotel. We especially enjoyed our (reasonably priced) dinner at the restaurant located in the hotel. ...read more

Good location-except for the street people-General area refurbishing very nicely done, however rooms need to be brought up to same level. Has feel of an old hotel that was neglected and still needs some work.Staff was great. ...read more

If you are looking for a vintage 1930's hotel, this is the place to stay. Otherwise, it's old, outdated and unacceptable for the modern traveller. Would never recommend this hotel ever!!

Very disappointed with this hotel after other good experiences with priceline. While it is a historic hotel, it is not nice nor should be considered anything more than 2 stars. Staff was not helpful when we were awoken by the alarm in the next room, it ended up going off for an hour starting at 4:30 AM! It took 10 minutes to get hot water in the shower, and the room was tiny. ...read more

Family with Teens
I was with my two teenage children and stayed in a suite. This consisted of 2 double beds and a pull out couch. The room was spacious as hotel rooms go. The bathroom was located one step up from the rest of the area, which was terribly inconvenient and dangerous as one can imagine, especially in the middle of the night. The coffee shop did not offer a full breakfast and was disappointing with the selections of muffins and bagels that were available. There is no parking available at the hotel and you must drop off your bags then find a parking space on the street anywhere around the area but it's free until 10:00 am. The hotel restaurant seemed to be popular, but would suit adults and most business travelers. Staff was available to help through the passage for this. We were really happy not to be staying on a higher floor however. There was also problems with one of the main power outlets in the room which was only source of power for recharging phones, etc. And it also housed a lamp for the room, which didn't work. The phone also didn't work, and I'm not sure that that wasn't outlet oriented as well. A bit too much to pay for the accommodation overall. ...read more

This hotel has character - it's over 100 years old & is just beautiful. The restaurant and coffee shop are great!
